We have a similar carpet / floor.

We don’t bother unless we have visitors. As you said, what’s the point. It only gets dirty seconds later.

I read a quote the other day. During a discussion on tithing, a woman said “We do tithe in this church, we give about 10% of what we should.”

Made me laugh at the time, thought you may appreciate it too.
