Sussed

I think we know why my eyes are dodgy.
High blood pressure.
Now there’s a surprise.
In fact, very high blood pressure.
In fact, sky high blood pressure.
Shame I started the anti-depressants as I can’t start the blood pressure medication until we know whether I get any side-effects to the anti-d’s, so in the meantime I am booked in for a barrage of blood tests, an ECG, and merciless nagging from my sister about my diet.

Bring on the comments

  1. Oh dear, I’m thinking the silly present I told you about may not be such a good idea in the light of your last 8 words there. Maybe I should just keep it for myself, as my way of showing concern ;)

(Don’t worry, I know what’s good for me really! Will be sending it at the weekend).

I’m glad though that you have an explanation for your symptoms, even though it’s not actually a very nice one. Hugs and prayers ongoing (I typed “payers” there by mistake, but can’t afford them!).

  2. Definitely glad you’ve got an explanation, and hopefully one that’s tackleable. Grrr to complications of multiple medicines, hope there’s no side effects to any of them and all is well.

    More hugs and prayers

  3. At least now you know some treatment plans can be made. See how wise I was to suggest going to gym instead of back to bed? Exercise is bound to help ;)

Thinking of you and holding you all in the Light.

  4. Well, Miss Smudgie, I’m thankful they have caught your high blood pressure. That can be A Very Bad Thing, you know, and not just for your eyes.

Take it easy for now, eh? And I hope you won’t tarry too long in getting your pressure meds up and working.

    Thanks, God, for the diagnosis.

  5. Glad you know what’s causing it now. Hope they get it sorted. You look after yourself.

  6. well, that’s something! Satisfying to know you can finally start doing something really positive about it eh!

  7. I can nag you long distance about your diet! And exercise will help. Silly me! I thought you already had stress-induced high BP.

Love and hugs from Canada to you!

  8. Glad you have found out the cause. I prescribe a week in a very posh health spa with lots of massage, jacussi and relaxation exercises. Failing that, you could get Smudgelet to make you an extra fizzy bath bomb!
